Hadoken Blue T-Shirt

Hadoken, sometimes spelt Hadouken is the name given to the special move made famous by Ryu and Ken from the popular Street Fighter series. Translated from japanese, it literally means Wave, motion, fist/technique. It was a fireball that flew across the screen accompanied by a scream of "HADOKEN!!".

The importance of this move to videogaming should not be overlooked. Fireballs became a staple of nearly all 2D fighting games and lead to notations such as qcf+p. It is an endearing (and enduring) memory that ranks alongside Pacman powerpills, Mario mushrooms and GTA car-jacking. To this day, many of us still have repeating echoes of "Hadoken. Hadoken. Hadoken..." ringing in our ears.
