User accounts

In order to use some of the more advanced features of the RetroGT.com website, you may create an account on our system. To do this, we require that you enter a valid email address. This is so that we can confirm your registration and activate your account.
An account on RetroGT.com allows you to view your previous orders, review products, upload photographs, comment on blog posts and post on forums.

The 'Auto Login' feature allows members to login automatically, by creating a cookie on your computer's hard drive. This cookie contains a unique login ID, so that you don't have to enter your login details whenever you visit the site. We would advise against using this system if your computer is shared with others.

Ordering

You do not need to have an account in order to make a purchase from RetroGT.com
When you add items to your cart, a record is created in our database. This record is uniquely associated with your browsing session, or your member account and is not viewable by anyone but you.
When you checkout, your cart ID and total is passed along to our payment provider (Paypal).
Our payment provider will collect your personal information, such as your name and address and pass those details back to us so that we may ship out your order.
At no point are we privy to your credit card details.

Anonymous data collection

The RetroGT.com website collects anonymous browsing data such as how many times a product is viewed or sold, or what kinds of things our users are searching for. This helps us to continually improve our service.
