Tekken Girls T-Shirt

Tekken, literally meaning 'Iron Fist', was Namco's first foray into 3D fighting games. Originally released for arcades in 1994 it went on to spawn several sequels and became a leading franchise on home consoles.

Tekken used a fighting system similar to that pioneered by Sega's Virtua Fighter but had a vastly different control scheme. Tekken's controls mapped a button to each limb resulting in intuitive gameplay despite each character having a large set of moves. Each game featured a wealth of unlockable zany characters. Aside from the usual martial artists the games included robots, bears and a boxing kangaroo named Roger.

Furthermore, the storylines went beyond mere rivalries. With plots revolving around 'The King of Iron Fist Tournament' and the blood feud of the Mishima family, there was always a reason to fight. Fronted by central character Kazuya who's more 'bad boy' than poster child of Tekken, what we have here is a series that is not afraid of a little excess.
