Frogs like to cross roads and, according to classic video game Frogger, they make this perilous journey repeatedly.

Released by Sega/Gremlin in 1981 and developed by Konami, Frogger is one of the best known games from the golden age of arcade gaming. The aim was simply to guide your frog home from the bottom of the screen to a lily pad at the top. To reach home, it had to cross a busy road by dodging traffic and hopping over logs and turtles floating down a hazardrous river.

Why did the frog cross the road? To catch flys and lady frogs for bonus points of course.
