RetroGT / Freekade partnership launches with the NES HDD

It's been a busy few months here at RetroGT HQ - We've been working hard on our new site, and in readiness we've been seeking out the best retro gear to expand our product range.

You'll have to wait for the new site to see some of the exciting bits and pieces we have, but we just couldn't wait to announce our partnership with the lovely chaps at Freekade.com.

New on the site today, we're stocking their 320GB NES HDDs - external USB drives contained within original NES cartridges.

We're in talks with Freekade to stock more of their, frankly, awesome product range - so keep an eye out for something very special in the near future.

New design added: Hadouken!!

If you're a fighting game lover like us, then this weekend's release of Super Street Fighter 4 hasn't escaped your attention. New characters, returning characters, new Ultra combos and all-important balance tweaks has made SF4 even better than before. With all the hype surrounding the game we couldn't help get drawn in and came up with this new design. It's the Hadoken but created in a similar style to our Shoryuken design. Since we already have a design called Hadoken, we've taken the alternative spelling and named it Hadouken instead!! Take a look... here.

Postage delays due to volcanic ash cloud

Due to continued flight restrictions thoughout the UK and Europe, there may be a delay in receiving orders overseas and to certain locations in the UK.

The Royal Mail are still shipping packages to these destinations via alternative methods, however there may be a delay in receiving your orders until the situation changes.

Hand baked arcade retro game showcase

We thought you'd like to know that our friends over at handbakedarcade.co.uk are putting on a night of retro gaming fun in East London on the 27th March.

Their retro gaming installations have been well received all over the country at festivals and nightclubs, and featured on the Gadget Show. This, their largest set-up to date, will take over Pure Groove Records EC1.
As well as a great set up of freeplay retro games, some of which on 7ft screens, there will be a great line up of DJs including Hand Baked's founder, E:LF providing chip tunes and other game inspired music.

To celebrate the arrival of the new Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 we bring you our latest design. It depicts Kazuya's glove over the japanese kanji for 'Iron Fist' aka Tekken. It's big and bold... just like mighty Tekken itself.

New designs added: Atari mono & Little Chief

We like to kick it old school so we've gone back to our early Atari Joystick design to give it a fresh, yet more retro look. In anticipation of the release of Halo 3: ODST on the Xbox 360, we've been engrossed in the earlier games (mostly deathmatch). This lead to our other new design, the Little Chief, a mash of influences. Something old, something new. Check 'em out:

New designs added: Space Harrier & Pac-Mod

Just a quick update to say that we've added two new designs to the range. Pac-Mod is an amalgam of video game and mod culture represented by our beloved Pac-Man in the form of a pixellated RAF roundel associated with the mod lifestyle. Sega's monster hit Space Harrier brings us inspiration for the second design... an astonishing game that, once witnessed, no one can forget. Space Harrier is available in two styles, black or yellow.
